Description For CPU Micro-Architect RTL Engineer

Qualcomm, the world's largest fabless design company, is seeking a CPU Micro-Architect RTL Engineer to join their Hexagon Team. This role focuses on developing high-performance, multithreaded, low-power Hexagon cores that are central to Qualcomm's multi-tier mobile SOC, Server, IoT, and Automotive roadmap.

The position involves working on modem cores and AI cores, which are industry-leading in the mobile sector. You'll be driving innovation in various areas including instruction set, RTOS, software architecture, microarchitecture, power, thermal solutions, and di/dt issues. The Hexagon architecture is specifically designed to deliver optimal performance while maintaining low power consumption and area efficiency across diverse applications including Audio, Modem, Machine Learning, IoT, and Automotive cores.

Key responsibilities include owning microarchitecture and RTL development, implementing low power refinements, conducting performance exploration, and meeting area and timing goals. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with CPU micro-architecture, including comprehensive knowledge of processor pipelines, out-of-order design, load store unit, caches, cache coherence, ordering, memory hierarchy, and multi-processor/multi-thread processor systems.

The Hexagon Team has an impressive track record, having produced more than 20 billion cores with flawless execution.
