Description For CPU Physical Design CAD Engineer

Qualcomm, through its NUVIA division, is seeking a CPU Physical Design CAD Engineer to join their team in reimagining silicon design and creating transformative computing platforms. Responsibilities For CPU Physical Design CAD Engineer

  • Develop, integrate and release new features in high-performance place-and-route CAD flow
  • Architect and recommend methodology improvements for optimal power, performance and area
  • Maintain, support and debug implementation flows
  • Work with worldwide CPU physical design teams to provide methodology guidance
  • Work with EDA vendors to define roadmap and resolve tool issues

Requirements For CPU Physical Design CAD Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in place-and-route of high-performance chips
  • High level of proficiency in Tcl and Python
  • Experience with automation
  • Experience with advanced technology nodes (5nm or lower)
  • Strong understanding of digital design, timing analysis and physical verification
  • Experience with industry-standard place-and-route tools like Cadence Innovus
