Description For Design Verification Engineer Video

Qualcomm is seeking a Design Verification Engineer specializing in video technologies to join their team in Seoul. This role sits at the crucial intersection of hardware and software, focusing on verification and validation of multimedia subsystems for mobile applications. The position requires expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM methodology, and comprehensive understanding of video codecs.

The ideal candidate will work closely with system architects, ASIC designers, and software engineers to ensure the quality and functionality of multimedia hardware designs. Responsibilities For Design Verification Engineer Video

  • Understanding the expected functionality of multimedia designs, specifically video encoder/decoder and hardware IP and subsystem
  • Work with architects of multimedia systems, ASIC designers and SW engineers
  • Plan and execute verification and validation of multimedia subsystems
  • Integration into SoCs for mobile applications
  • Test planning, creating environment, problem solving, debug, verification of multimedia hardware

Requirements For Design Verification Engineer Video

Python
  • Advanced knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM methodology
  • Strong working experience in coverage driven constraint random verification
  • Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in scripting language like Tcl/Perl/Python/Shell-scripting (plus)
  • Experience in formal verification (plus)
  • Experience in building simulation acceleration environment (plus)
  • Prior experience in multimedia HW accelerator verification of Video Codec
  • Knowledge of video codecs (H.264/MPEG/HEVC/VPx/AV1/VVC)
