Description For DFT Engineer

Qualcomm, a global leader in technology innovation, is seeking a DFT Engineer to join their hardware engineering team in Noida, India. This role represents an opportunity to work with one of the most influential companies in the mobile and wireless technology space.

As a DFT Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing Design for Testability solutions for complex semiconductor products. The position requires expertise in DFT concepts, ATPG, Scan Insertion, and MBIST, combining both technical depth and practical implementation skills. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with international teams to solve complex engineering challenges.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in computer science or electrical engineering. You'll be responsible for critical tasks including test mode timing constraints definition, pattern generation/verification, and post-silicon bring-up/yield analysis. The role demands someone who can handle multiple high-priority designs simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities For DFT Engineer

  • Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems
  • Work on bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems
  • Develop Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions
  • Analyze and devise new tests for new technologies/custom RAM design/RMA
  • Multi-tasking & work on several high priority designs in parallel

Requirements For DFT Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in DFT, ATPG, Scan Insertion, MBIST, JTAG
  • In-depth knowledge of DFT concepts
  • Experience in DFT insertion, ATPG pattern generation/verification, MBIST verification
  • Expertise in test mode timing constraints definition
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as perl, shell
  • Experience in simulating test vectors
  • Knowledge of equivalence check and RTL lint tool
  • Ability to work in an international team, dynamic environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
