Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Digital Display Interface ASIC Design Engineer to join their team in Markham, Ontario. As an ASIC Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining, modeling, designing, and optimizing IP development for high-performance, low-power products. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires expertise in various tools and languages including HDL, C, and PERL. You'll work with advanced system tools like LabVIEW, MATLAB, and SIMULINK, while handling complex architecture and design challenges.

The ideal candidate should have 3-6 years of experience in ASIC RTL design and be familiar with high-speed interface standards such as MIPI, Display Port, HDMI, PCIe, and USB. Educational requirements include either a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, a Master's with 1+ year, or a PhD in a relevant field.

Responsibilities For Digital Display Interface ASIC Design Engineer

  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation
  • Evaluate process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, timing and power use
  • Analyze equipment to establish operation data and conduct experimental tests
  • Provide technical expertise for next generation initiatives
  • Develop implementation strategies that meet system requirements
  • Review complex tests and ensure bugs are fully analyzed
  • Run advanced power checks on multiple blocks
  • Act as a tech lead on small to large projects

Requirements For Digital Display Interface ASIC Design Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC experience, OR
  • Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC experience, OR
  • PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in ASIC RTL design
  • Familiarity with industry high speed interface standards (MIPI, Display Port, HDMI, PCIe, USB)
  • Experience with System tools like National Instrument products, LabVIEW, MATLAB, SIMULINK
  • Knowledge of HDL, C, PERL languages
