Description For Display ASIC Design and Implementation Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking a Display ASIC Design and Implementation Engineer to join their Display IP Design and Implementation team in Markham, Ontario. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge display solutions for Qualcomm's SoCs, as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers, and verification engineers.

The position involves deep technical work in ASIC design and implementation, requiring expertise in Verilog RTL, synthesis tools, timing analysis, and low-power design methodologies. You'll be responsible for developing module specifications, implementing complex digital circuits, and contributing to silicon debug efforts. Responsibilities For Display ASIC Design and Implementation Engineer

  • Develop module specifications and follow through with design and programming specifications
  • Provide technical expertise for next generation initiatives and design automation
  • Model and analyze performance, area, power, and system cost tradeoffs
  • Perform synthesis, timing constraints, lint, power analysis tasks
  • Implement modules and sub-systems in Verilog RTL
  • Work with design verification team on methodology and test plans
  • Implement and debug tests at module, sub-system and SoC levels
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Contribute to silicon debug and analysis

Requirements For Display ASIC Design and Implementation Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years experience (or Master's with 1+ year, or PhD)
  • Strong understanding of basic ASIC/VLSI design concepts
  • Experience with HDL languages (Verilog or VHDL)
  • Experience working in Linux environment
  • Experience with scripting languages (perl, python, tcl)
  • Experience with synthesis concepts and tools
  • Experience with timing constraints and static timing analysis
  • Experience with low power design methodologies
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills
