Description For Embedded Dev (QNX)- Engineer, Senior

Qualcomm, a global leader in wireless technology and mobile processors, is seeking a Senior Embedded Developer to join their ADAS/Autonomy team in Bangalore. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive software solutions built on DSP, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms for Qualcomm's ADAS/Autonomy SoCs.

The position requires deep expertise in embedded software development, with a focus on system and SoC software-level functional safety concepts. You'll be responsible for defining and implementing safety concepts and architecture, working with software safety requirements, and developing safety software following ISO26262 processes. The role involves significant interaction with customers, architects, and test/integration teams.

As a Senior Embedded Developer, you'll work with both local and global teams to implement automotive-specific features, including software enablement (drivers/BSP/RTOS/AUTOSAR MCAL), security, functional safety, and power management for current and next-generation SoCs. You'll be responsible for coordinating and executing validation plans, identifying and addressing technical issues through root cause analysis, and providing detailed corrective actions.

The ideal candidate brings 3-6 years of industry experience in embedded software driver development, strong programming skills in C and Assembly, and expertise in RTOS environments. Experience with automotive software development, ISO26262 functional safety standards, and ASPICE processes is highly valued. Knowledge of ARM architectures, debugging tools, and hardware components is essential.

Qualcomm offers comprehensive benefits including world-class health coverage, financial planning support, continuous learning opportunities, and wellbeing programs. The company fosters an inclusive culture where innovative ideas are encouraged and valued. This role offers the opportunity to work on transformative automotive technologies while collaborating with some of the industry's leading experts in embedded systems and autonomous driving technology.
