Description For Emulation(FPGA Design) Engineer /Bluetooth - Staff

Join Qualcomm's expert team developing cutting-edge wireless technologies for market-leading products. As a Staff FPGA Design Engineer, you'll work on next-generation Wireless PAN technologies including Bluetooth, UWB, and Thread for connectivity solutions in mobile phones, wearables, IoT, and Voice & Music chips. The role involves close collaboration with IP designers, verification engineers, and firmware teams to validate IPs on proprietary and industry-standard emulation platforms.

You'll be responsible for the complete FPGA design implementation cycle, from RTL coding to bitfile generation. Key responsibilities include adapting designs for FPGA implementation, developing timing constraints, running synthesis tools, and handling floorplanning and place & route operations. The position requires strong debugging skills using tools like ILA/Chipscope and lab equipment.

Responsibilities For Emulation(FPGA Design) Engineer /Bluetooth - Staff

  • Work with IP designers, Verification engineers, Validation engineers, Firmware and SoC engineers
  • Validate next generation Bluetooth and PAN IPs on emulation platforms
  • Handle entire FPGA design implementation cycle
  • Code emulation specific RTL
  • Adapt design for FPGA and create timing constraints
  • Run synthesis, floorplan, place & route tools
  • Work with validation and Firmware engineers for test structures and debugging

Requirements For Emulation(FPGA Design) Engineer /Bluetooth - Staff

Linux
  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience in implementing designs on FPGA
  • Strong expertise in RTL coding using Verilog/SV
  • Expertise in FPGA design, constraint definition, synthesis, floor planning, P&R
  • Strong proficiency with FPGA EDA tools: Synplify, Vivado, ISE, Chipscope
  • Knowledge of latest FPGA architectures
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Familiarity with lab equipment
  • Strong debugging, analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics, VLSI, Communications or related field
