Engineer, Staff Systems

Qualcomm is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join their Sensors Technologies group in Cork, Ireland. This role focuses on sensors-based technology applications including navigation, gaming, smart user interface, multimedia, virtual reality and augmented reality. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge sensor technologies embedded in smartphones, automotive, IoT, smartwatches, and other consumer electronics devices.

The role encompasses the complete product lifecycle from early R&D to commercial deployment, working alongside systems, software, and integration/test engineers. Key responsibilities include developing sensor algorithms, embedded software development, and making critical engineering decisions regarding performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in digital signal processing, machine learning, and embedded programming.
