Description For GNSS Precise Positioning Systems Engineer (Staff/Senior Staff)

Qualcomm is seeking a GNSS Precise Positioning Systems Engineer to join their Location Technology systems engineering team. This advanced development role focuses on achieving high-precision GNSS positioning for commercial products. The position combines cutting-edge work in Global Navigation Satellite Systems with advanced algorithm development and system integration.

The role involves designing and developing sophisticated algorithms that can achieve decimeter and centimeter-level positioning accuracy, crucial for next-generation applications. You'll be working with state-of-the-art GNSS technologies, including RTK (Real-Time Kinematics) and PPP (Precise Point Positioning), while integrating these with inertial sensors and other positioning technologies.

As a Staff/Senior Staff engineer, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of algorithm development, from initial design and simulation to performance optimization and commercial implementation. The position requires deep expertise in GNSS error modeling and mitigation strategies, covering space segment errors, channel errors, and receiver errors.

Requirements For GNSS Precise Positioning Systems Engineer (Staff/Senior Staff)

  • PhD or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge in GNSS Precise Positioning Technologies including RTK, PPP
  • Experience with GNSS signal processing
  • Knowledge of Estimation Theory and Kalman Filtering
  • Expertise in GNSS error modeling and error mitigation
  • Experience with inertial sensor technologies integration
