Qualcomm Technologies International Ltd is seeking a Hardware Applications Engineer for their Cambridge, UK location. This is a customer-facing hands-on engineering role in a world-leading semiconductor company that develops high-end multicore personal audio SoCs. The position involves working on challenging projects within a highly motivated team of Embedded Systems Engineers, delivering world-class support for Bluetooth personal audio SoCs.

The role requires engaging directly with global Tier 1 customers and regional customer Engineers to accelerate project development through to commercial launch. You'll work at the cutting edge of personal audio development, combining hardware skills and embedded software abilities to ensure customer technical requirements are met. The position involves being a key contributor to an R&D team shaping the future of personal audio, while proactively enhancing customer experience through continuous improvement of Qualcomm's SoCs, Application Development Kits (ADKs), and customer-facing tools.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in hardware engineering with embedded systems experience, demonstrated through a relevant degree and practical expertise. Key technical skills include embedded C programming, debugging capabilities, and understanding of RF and electronic theories. The role demands excellent problem-solving abilities, customer interaction skills, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating across multi-disciplined teams.

  • Own first tier customer support and initial debugging for issues
