Qualcomm, a global leader in technology innovation, is seeking a Physical Design Engineer at the Senior/Lead/Staff level to join their team in Hyderabad, India. The ideal candidate will bring 4-10 years of experience in physical design, with deep expertise in ASIC designs Place and Route flow and methodology. You'll be responsible for executing complete PD ownership from netlist to GDS2, including handling complex tasks like HM level PV, LEC, low-power checks, and PDN/STA closure. The role requires strong technical skills in PnR tools and sign-off methodologies, along with proficiency in scripting languages like TCL, PERL, and PYTHON.

Responsibilities For Physical Design Engineer, Sr/Lead/Staff

  • Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems
  • Bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems
  • Work with Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions
  • Implement and improve existing methodologies and flows
  • Communicate status and issues of owned tasks effectively

Requirements For Physical Design Engineer, Sr/Lead/Staff

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field with 4+ years experience, OR Master's with 3+ years, OR PhD with 2+ years
  • Thorough knowledge of ASIC designs Place and Route flow and methodology
  • Experience in executing complete PD ownership from netlist to GDS2
  • Experience in Voltage Islands and low power methodologies
  • Strong background in debugging Congestion and CTS issues
  • Expertise in PnR tools (Innovus/Fusion compiler)
  • Familiarity with Sign-off methodology and tools
  • Proficient in scripting languages (TCL, PERL, PYTHON)
  • 4-10 years of experience in physical design
