Responsibilities For Principal Engineer
- Design, develop, create, modify and validate embedded and cloud edge software
- Work with management on roadmap and strategy planning
- Lead technical teams and contribute to large-scale SoC SW product development
- Gather customer requirements and create software architecture documents
- Design and implement software modules for large-scale products
- Lead design, coding, unit testing, debugging and integration efforts
- Perform complex code reviews and regression tests
- Collaborate with hardware, systems and test engineers
- Write detailed technical documentation
Requirements For Principal Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science + 8 years experience OR Master's + 7 years OR PhD + 6 years
- 4+ years experience with Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Python)
- 15+ years relevant experience in software design and debugging
- Knowledge of operating systems and hypervisors (Linux, QNX, RTOS)
- System SW development experience including kernels and device drivers
- Understanding of OS internals, storage, peripherals, and interfaces
- Experience with automotive SW development processes (ASPCE, ISO26262)
- Understanding of secure automotive SW architecture
