Description For Signal Integrity Architect

Qualcomm Technologies is seeking an experienced Signal Integrity Architect to join their Data Center team, focusing on developing high-performance, energy-efficient server solutions. This role represents an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of computing platform innovation.

The position involves leading the development of high-performance signal integrity (SI) solutions specifically designed for advanced server applications. As a Signal Integrity Architect, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams including software, firmware, packaging, and product management to drive innovation in high-speed interconnects across multiple system levels.

The role offers a comprehensive compensation package including a salary range of $192,600 to $330,400, plus competitive bonuses and RSU grants. Qualcomm provides extensive benefits including health coverage, 401k, and educational support through tuition reimbursement.

Key technical responsibilities include developing SI methodologies, performing complex analyses on 2.5D/3D structures, and working with cutting-edge simulation tools. The ideal candidate will bring at least 6 years of relevant experience, along with deep expertise in SI fundamentals, DDR5/LPDDR5X specifications, and various SerDes standards. Strong proficiency in simulation tools and hands-on experience with electrical validation are essential.

Responsibilities For Signal Integrity Architect

  • Collaborate with SoC, applications engineering, packaging, and system design teams
  • Provide guidelines on silicon timing, bump/RDL, package pinout and PCB specifications
  • Develop customer guidelines and define module interfaces/formats for simulation
  • Lead creation of server-grade SI models, simulations, and final designs
  • Perform early SI analysis on 2.5D/3D structures
  • Update and automate design and analysis flows
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports

Requirements For Signal Integrity Architect

  • Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience in SI analysis, simulation, and measurement
  • Strong knowledge of SI fundamentals
  • Expertise in DDR5/LPDDR5X JEDEC specifications

  • Proficiency with 2D/2.5D/3D EM simulation tools
