Description For SoC Power Design Engineer
Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a SoC Power Design Engineer to join their Global SoC Power team. This role focuses on implementing and validating low power design intent requirements at the SoC-level, along with power analysis and projection of SoC Use Case power. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with various teams including frontend RTL, DFT, Synthesis, Design Verification, and Physical Design teams during SoC development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with expertise in ASIC frontend development, logic design, and hardware description languages. They will be responsible for generating and validating power intent design at the SoC level, working closely with IP designers, power target teams, and Post-Silicon test teams to ensure power requirements are met.

Responsibilities For SoC Power Design Engineer
- Work with frontend RTL, DFT, Synthesis, and Physical design teams in power intent design
- Generate and validate power intent design (UPF) at SoC level
- Review designs and guide IP designers' power intent design
- Work with design verification in validating low power design features
- Collaborate with company CAD and vendor to enhance existing power flows and tools
- Execute power-aware implementation flow
- Review IP design's power features and power budgets/estimates
- Perform power analysis/projection of SoC baseline power
Requirements For SoC Power Design Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- ASIC frontend development experience
- Logic design, RTL coding, verification, synthesis, and timing closure
- Hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog)
- Power-aware implementation flow, including UPF/CPF/Conformal Low Power Check
- Scripting - Perl/Tcl/Python
