Responsibilities For Cloud Database Engineer III/IV
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for migration execution
- Engage in customer communications for project deliverables
- Perform capacity planning and forecast database growth
- Plan and manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategy
- Execute database software upgrades, patches, and service packs
- Troubleshoot complex database-related issues
- Contribute to automation scripts and tools
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems
- Generate performance reports and analysis
- Maintain documentation of database configurations
- Handle tickets within agreed client SLA
- Create detailed RCA reports for problem management
- Manage third-party tools and solutions
- Participate in 24x7 production support
- Perform cloud migrations using AWS DMS, Azure Migrate, etc.
- Manage security, storage, backup, and monitoring in cloud environments
- Optimize costs through compute and workload analysis
Requirements For Cloud Database Engineer III/IV
- Proficient in SQL Server Architecture, Installation, Configuration, and Performance Tuning
- Experience in database migrations and upgrades
- Ability to deploy and troubleshoot HADR configurations
- Knowledge of homogeneous and heterogeneous migrations
- Experience with SQL Server in cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS)
- Familiarity with SQL Server best practices
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership skills to handle unexpected situations
