Principal Software Engineer, Ads Formats

Reddit is seeking a hands-on technical engineering leader for the Ads Formats Org. This role focuses on enhancing Ad Formats by improving user experiences aligned with advertisers' marketing goals. Key areas include expanding Ad Inventory, enabling Ads on New Placements, optimizing Ad User Experience, enhancing post-click and pre-click interactions, supporting Ads/Consumer Ecosystem changes, infrastructure enhancements for Ad products, and innovating new formats.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with 5+ years working across various components in the ads system. They should be capable of leading complex, cross-departmental projects that impact critical business metrics. Experience with Ads privacy (GDPR, CCPA, ePD, ATT, etc.) is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading projects from concept to rollout
• Identifying opportunities to enhance value for advertisers
• Enhancing infrastructure for faster format improvements
• Bringing industry ideas to enhance the Ad product portfolio
• Collaborating with designers and product managers
• Advising on Ad review and brand safety enhancements
• Mentoring staff engineers and leaders
