Frontend Engineer

Retool is both an interface used to build internal tools and the runtime for those apps. It's used simultaneously by technically-demanding engineers and productivity-focused end users. As a front-end engineer at Retool, you'll be building a platform that thousands of customers rely on to run their operations.

We have a small but mighty engineering team that needs to grow to support our fast-paced expansion. You'll help by owning end-to-end projects, talking with customers, and supporting both product and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design team to craft delightful user experiences
• Extend core functionality of the application editor
• Optimize performance through React, Web Workers and WebAssembly
• Take customer ideas from conception to production
• Contribute to product roadmap planning
• Work cross-functionally with designers, customer engineers, and support teams

Technical Environment:

• Primary stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js
• Focus on building flexible, composable component libraries
• Emphasis on performance optimization and scalable architecture
