Founding Engineer at Retrofit (YC W25)

Retrofit is seeking a brilliant full-stack engineer to join as our Founding Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founder to build the core infrastructure, AI features, and user-facing product that will shape the future of shopping.

As the Founding Engineer, you'll have immense ownership and influence over both technical and product decisions. You'll be responsible for:

• Building and owning the entire technical stack from the foundational AI layer to the customer-facing web app
• Developing and scaling Retrofit's AI inventory personalization and curation agents
• Establishing engineering processes and helping define product direction
• Setting the foundation for engineering culture and mentoring future team members
• Bringing innovative ideas to life through rapid testing and customer feedback

The ideal candidate brings:

• 3+ years of experience shipping full-stack products
• Strong problem-solving abilities for technical and product challenges
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI infrastructure
• Track record of ownership and autonomous execution
• Excellent communication skills and product intuition
