Description For Senior Software Engineer, Customer Intelligence

The Customer Intelligence and AI (CIAI) team at Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their specialized Data Science unit within the Corporate Strategy organization. The role focuses on developing internal tooling infrastructure for AI use cases, maintaining ML/data pipelines, and supporting customer insights research.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Systems Engineering: Collaborate with Data, Engineering, and ML Platform teams to establish a reusable framework for distributing customer insights. Architect and integrate front-end and back-end systems, develop internal apps and data pipelines.
  2. Operationalizing LLMs: Apply large language models through prompt research and design, system architecting, and operationalization.
  3. Data Tooling: Establish processes to gather and consolidate data from diverse sources, ensuring reliable and actionable information flow for team-level reporting.
  4. Research: Assist in generating team insights and analyses through customer research, supporting strategic initiatives and improving customer dynamics understanding.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field
  • 5+ years post-undergraduate or 3+ years post-graduate experience in full stack engineering and business strategy
  • Proficiency in AWS ecosystem, Python programming, and SQL
  • Experience with at least one front-end framework, JavaScript, Node, and HTML
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first approach
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to navigate ambiguity
