Description For Identity and Access Architect

Salesforce is seeking a Principal-level Identity and Access Architect to design and build their next-generation Identity and Access Management platform. This is a critical role within their Hyperforce Architecture Council, focusing on creating highly resilient and secure services that protect production environments across their cloud infrastructure. The position requires deep expertise in both software architecture and security, particularly in cloud-native technologies and modern authentication methods.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in designing highly available systems using GoLang or Java, with particular emphasis on EKS cell-based architecture and cloud security best practices. They will be responsible for implementing advanced security features beyond standard MFA and passwordless authentication, incorporating AI-based decision making and pattern detection.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud architecture and security at one of the world's leading enterprise software companies. The architect will collaborate with various stakeholders including Security, Legal, and Global Regulatory Compliance teams to ensure solutions meet both technical excellence and compliance requirements. Responsibilities For Identity and Access Architect

  • Work closely with strategic stakeholders to distill solutions for compliance and feature gaps
  • Deliver highly visible outcomes while balancing time pressure and long term strategy
  • Collaborate on security and compliance uplift projects
  • Create and drive adoption of Long Range Plans including migration strategies
  • Develop technical and business understanding of the mission
  • Mentor team members in architecture and standards development

Requirements For Identity and Access Architect

  • 7+ years experience leading architecture with distinguished track record
  • Experience with highly available, scalable services on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform
  • Ability to document designs and create Proof of Concept architecture
  • Coding ability in Java or GoLang
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL9)
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management systems
  • Knowledge of control plane and data plane security
  • Experience with CI platforms and monitoring tools
  • Experience working in an agile environment
