Description For Software Engineering SMTS

Salesforce is seeking a Staff Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Software Engineer for their Business Technology GTM - Public Sector team. This role is crucial in building and leading solutions on Salesforce's integration platform to interconnect cloud and enterprise data. The position requires expertise in Salesforce-on-Salesforce technologies, including force.com, APEX, Javascript, SOQL, Data Cloud, Government Cloud, Mulesoft, SFDX, Tableau, and Slack.

The role is part of Salesforce's Business Technology division, which leads enterprise IT and accelerates success through optimal Salesforce implementation. The team operates in modern, lean, and self-governing Scrum teams, emphasizing Trust, Scale, and Integration as core values.

Responsibilities For Software Engineering SMTS

  • Participate in discovery and design sessions
  • Document and present implementation designs to peers, partners and review board
  • Coordinate with collaborators to align on the development environment and launch dependencies
  • Implement approved designs to meet integration requirements
  • Write, implement and maintain automated unit tests
  • Provide investigative support on new & existing integrations
  • Work with project managers to provide timely status and feedback to customers
  • Align to Agile Methodology
  • Partner closely with BT M&A Business Architect, Product Managers, Deal Managers, QA Product Staff
  • Keep up with targeted security, technical and business training

Requirements For Software Engineering SMTS

Java
JavaScript
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen operating on U.S. Soil
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • 6+ years of force.com configurations, APEX / Javascript /SOQL and unit testing
  • 4+ years of development using Salesforce-on-Salesforce technologies
  • 3+ years of validated experience writing & running automated tests with JUnit and Postman
  • 3+ years of proven ability working with XSL/T, XPath expressions & functions
  • Salesforce Basic and Advanced Administrator Certifications
  • Experience with Mulesoft administration, configuration and tuning
  • Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
