Salesforce, a global leader in CRM and enterprise cloud solutions, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (SMTS) to join their team in San Francisco. This role offers a competitive salary range of $157,600 - $236,500 and includes comprehensive benefits.

The position involves working on critical systems that serve Salesforce's large user base, requiring expertise in both backend and frontend development. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions using technologies like Java, JavaScript, React, and SQL, while ensuring high reliability and performance.

As an SMTS, you'll collaborate closely with Product Managers and other engineers to conceptualize and build new features. The role requires strong technical leadership, as you'll be mentoring other engineers, reviewing code, and improving engineering standards and processes. You'll also own team features and systems, defining their long-term health while contributing to the improvement of surrounding systems.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a strong background in computer science or engineering. Key technical requirements include proficiency in Java, SQLServer, React JS, REST APIs, and Docker, along with experience in Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities For Software Engineering SMTS

  • Brainstorm with Product Managers, Backend, and Frontend Engineers to conceptualize and build new features
  • Design and develop high-quality code to improve platform reliability, availability, and scalability
  • Build scalable, elastic services with high impact on business
  • Build efficient components/algorithms for high-volume, low-latency requests
  • Own team features/systems and define long-term health
  • Assist support team in triaging and resolving production issues
  • Mentor other engineers and review code
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
