Founding Engineers (Multiple Positions, Intermediate to Staff Level)

Sample transforms healthcare operations from a burden into a competitive advantage. The US leads the world in first launches of new treatments, yet our healthcare system sees clinicians spending 73% of their time on administrative work – we're on a mission to eliminate this friction that's choking America's engine of medical progress.

As a founding engineer at Sample, you'll tackle healthcare's most important problems with the freedom to solve them. Our engineering team focuses on:

1. Developing frameworks and IDEs for AI-powered workflows
2. Training cutting-edge models for medical record reasoning
3. Creating pipelines for task-specific model tuning

We're using a modern stack — TypeScript, Next.js, Python (FastAPI), Redis, and Postgres. We're looking for engineers who are technically brilliant, intensely curious, and delightful to work with.

For Intermediate Engineers (2-4 years):

• Ready to own meaningful parts of the product
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, and React
• Strong product intuitions and user relationship management
• Understanding of library/language design
• Experience with model fine-tuning

For Senior/Staff Engineers (5-15+ years):

• Led major projects and technical decisions
• Experience with complex systems, security, and reliability
• Framework and library development expertise
• Strong code quality standards while maintaining velocity
• Proven track record of team growth and support
