Shield AI, established in 2015, is an innovative defense technology company dedicated to protecting service members and civilians through intelligent, autonomous systems. As a Senior HIL Integration Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing and testing state-of-the-art AI aircraft systems.
The role is positioned within the Hivemind Solutions Test department (HMS Test), which is responsible for building comprehensive testing infrastructure for the world's most advanced AI pilot systems. You'll be working with a diverse range of technologies, from embedded systems to AI behaviors, ensuring the highest quality and reliability standards are met.
Your primary responsibilities will involve designing and maintaining Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) infrastructure, leading sensor integration, and creating automated test tools using Python or C++. You'll be hands-on with testing and debugging during both ground and flight test campaigns, working directly with various aircraft platforms including real-world jets and Shield AI's V-BAT.
