Founding engineer: AI and retrieval

SID is revolutionizing how developers connect data to their LLM applications. Founded in 2023, they're building a serverless RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system that makes integrating company, industry, or person-specific data into AI applications as simple as an API call.

As a Founding Engineer focusing on AI and retrieval, you'll work directly with the ex-research CEO to architect, develop, and optimize retrieval systems. This is a unique opportunity to tackle one of AI's most critical challenges - the accuracy of knowledge retrieval, which is currently the biggest bottleneck in deploying effective AI solutions.

The role combines cutting-edge AI technology with practical engineering challenges. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing retrieval systems that can efficiently process and serve specialized knowledge, eventually taking full ownership of this core technology. The company has already demonstrated market validation, with their technology being successfully implemented by companies like Reworkd's AgentGPT, enabling thousands of users to instantly connect their Notion, email and Drive data.

The position offers significant technical challenges and growth opportunities, working alongside accomplished founders including a former ETH Zürich researcher who developed MultiGPT. You'll be joining at an early stage where your contributions will have direct impact on the product architecture and company's technical direction.
