This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of space technology, contributing to SpaceX's ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

The position involves developing innovative guidance, navigation, and control systems for the Starship vehicle, a fully reusable spacecraft designed for Mars missions and beyond. You'll be working with a talented team of engineers to push the boundaries of flight control systems, implementing cutting-edge algorithms and software solutions for mission-critical capabilities.

Key responsibilities include developing 6-DOF dynamics simulation models, analyzing launch vehicle trajectories, conducting post-flight data analysis, and supporting actual launch operations. The role requires expertise in control systems, orbital mechanics, and classical dynamics, along with proficiency in Python or C++.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer passionate about advancing commercial space industry and human spaceflight. The position offers competitive compensation ($160,000-$220,000) plus comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, 401(k), stock options, and various other perks. You'll be based at SpaceX's headquarters in Hawthorne, California, working directly on technology that will help make humanity a multi-planetary species.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A background in aerospace systems, particularly in launch vehicles or spacecraft, would be highly valuable. This role offers the unique opportunity to directly contribute to some of the most ambitious space exploration goals in human history while working with cutting-edge technology and world-class engineers.
