Sr. IC Layout Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Senior IC Layout Engineer to join their Starlink team, working on the world's most advanced broadband internet system. This role is crucial in developing silicon projects that drive integration, lower power, and mixed signal architectures for both space and ground infrastructures. The role involves working with world-class cross-disciplinary teams across systems architecture, ASIC design, firmware, and various validation stages. You'll be responsible for leading the technical aspects of IC layout, collaborating with RFIC/mixed signal designers on full chip layout of custom analog and RFIC designs. This includes complex tasks such as determining chip floor plans, power distribution strategies, and working closely with packaging engineers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in analog layout and advanced node IC layouts (22nm and below), with experience in high-frequency circuit design up to 50GHz. You'll be working on sensitive RF blocks such as low noise amplifiers, voltage controlled oscillators, and mixers, requiring deep understanding of layout considerations for device matching, coupling, and noise isolation.
