Responsibilities For Backend Engineer II - Music Monetisation

  • Evolve and scale Spotify's backend systems for live event ingestion and distribution
  • Ensure optimal customer experiences for both Spotify users and internal teams
  • Take operational responsibility for team services, including on-call rotation
  • Work with squads across the organization to develop and scale the platform
  • Deliver complex backend tasks for Live music features

Requirements For Backend Engineer II - Music Monetisation

Java
  • Experience with Java and intermediate to advanced understanding of distributed, high-volume services
  • Experience with JVM concepts and architecture patterns
  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling cloud-native software components on AWS or GCP
  • Deep familiarity with SQL-like languages and relational databases
