Frontend Engineer

Squarespace is seeking experienced JavaScript engineers with strong design sensibilities to join their Frontend team. The role offers an opportunity to work on one of the most advanced web interfaces, enabling customers to create beautiful interactive websites and stores.

The Frontend team at Squarespace is building cutting-edge interfaces that allow customers to easily create stunning websites and online stores. As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be working with modern technologies like React and ES2016+ while collaborating with designers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement new features for the Squarespace interface
• Lead collaboration with engineers and designers to create strong customer-focused experiences
• Maintain and update product with latest frontend technologies
• Practice disciplined software engineering including automated testing and code reviews
• Contribute to team and company standards
• Mentor junior team members

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong JavaScript development skills with ES6 proficiency
• Experience with React, Angular or modern JS frameworks
• Extensive experience developing large-scale applications
• Deep knowledge of DOM, HTML5, and CSS3
• Single Page Application development experience
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience
