Software Engineer, Bank Transfers

Stripe is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Bank Transfers team in London. This role is crucial in building out support for Bank Transfer payments on Stripe, allowing customers to pay by pushing funds directly from their bank account. The product smooths over the rough edges of sending money via banking rails and automates reconciliation of incoming transactions, saving customers time and money.

As part of this team, you'll be working on a rapidly expanding product that currently supports 6 countries, with plans to add more. You'll also be involved in expanding support for international Bank Transfers to cater to global customers accepting payments worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Shaping and building products that help users model and operate their business more efficiently
• Working on projects spanning various technologies, systems, and processes
• Designing, building, testing, and shipping high-quality code daily
• Collaborating with experts in infrastructure, security, design, and operations
• Engaging directly with high-profile Stripe users to iterate on the product

The ideal candidate should have:

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
• An entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong data modeling skills
• Generalist abilities in both frontend and backend development
• The ability to work with various technologies and systems
• A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills

This is a hybrid role, requiring at least 50% of your time to be spent in the London office or with users. The annual salary range for this position is £72,000 - £144,000, with additional benefits including equity, company bonus, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
