Description For Customer Reliability Escalation Engineer

Sysdig, a leading innovator in cloud security, is seeking a Customer Reliability Escalation Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are at the forefront of securing cloud-native applications, leveraging runtime insights and open source Falco to detect and stop attacks in real-time.

As a Customer Reliability Escalation Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in our technical support team, providing senior-level expertise to Customer Reliability Engineers (CREs). Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, consulting on complex issues, and fostering strong relationships with our development engineering team. You'll be instrumental in developing technical troubleshooting sessions, creating training materials, and maintaining our internal knowledge base.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in senior technical support or team leadership within container management, cloud management, or cloud security fields. You should have master-level expertise in Kubernetes and Linux, along with extensive knowledge of scripting languages and major cloud providers. Your ability to manage multiple projects, thrive under pressure, and communicate effectively is crucial.

Responsibilities For Customer Reliability Escalation Engineer

  • Work as an integral member of the technical support team providing senior level technical knowledge to CREs
  • Mentor, consult, and advise on complex issues
  • Foster relationships with the development engineering team
  • Develop and conduct technical troubleshooting sessions, trainings, and guides
  • Develop, review, and maintain internal knowledge base articles
  • Triage and document bugs and enhancement requests
  • Work with Escalation Management team on high-touch accounts

Requirements For Customer Reliability Escalation Engineer

  • 5+ years of experience as a senior technical support/escalation resource or team/technical lead
  • Master level Kubernetes and Linux experience
  • Extensive knowledge of scripting languages (Bash/Shell/Python, etc)
  • Extensive knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, IBM Cloud)
  • Ability to work effectively and manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, self-manage, and prioritize activities
  • Fluent English; multilingual is a plus
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communication/relationship skills
