This role combines technical expertise with relationship management, focusing on supporting and expanding partnerships within the Federal and broader Public Sector ecosystem.

As a trusted advisor, you'll be responsible for designing, demonstrating, and supporting Tenable solutions across diverse cybersecurity environments, working closely with Federal system integrators and State & Local Government-focused partners.

The role requires a strong background in cybersecurity, with 5-7 years of pre-sales engineering experience and deep knowledge of security solutions including Cloud Security Posture Management, network technologies, and compliance standards. You'll be expected to perform product demonstrations, translate business drivers into technical solutions, and provide architectural guidance for both pre-sales designs and post-sales deployments.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,000 to $171,667, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k with company match, stock purchase plans, and parental leave. Responsibilities For Senior Channel Sales Security Engineer - Public/Federal Sector

  • Perform product demonstrations, presentations, and consultations
  • Translate customer goals into security architecture designs
  • Guide Federal and Public Sector partners through pre-sales designs and post-sales deployments
  • Act as technical liaison between Sales and Public Sector channel partners
  • Deliver technical enablement and training to partner sales engineers
  • Provide recommendations to improve network design and security posture
  • Maintain documentation of activities and solutions

Requirements For Senior Channel Sales Security Engineer - Public/Federal Sector

Python
  • 5-7 years of cybersecurity pre-sales engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience working with Federal agencies or Public Sector integrators
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Deep knowledge of security solutions and compliance standards
  • Hands-on experience with systems administration and security operations
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP preferred
