Description For Embedded Software Engineer, Crash Safety

Tesla's Crash Safety Firmware team is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop critical safety systems for their vehicles. This role focuses on developing application-level logic and software for sensing and actuation algorithms, diagnostics, and simulation capabilities. The position is integral to Tesla's mission of creating the safest vehicles on the road through innovative engineering and real-world data analysis.

The role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in automotive safety, specifically focusing on airbag controller functionality.   • Implement state machines, control logic, alerts, and diagnostics
  • Full life cycle firmware development from concept through integration, test, and release
  • Virtual algorithm development and regression testing in simulation
  • Code review, establish best practices and mentor junior engineers and interns

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
