Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Cell Cathode Engineering
- Operating electrode and cell assembly equipment to produce and test prototype battery cells
- Electrochemical characterization of powder materials
- Document critical build process parameters and quality control metrics
- Perform regular equipment inspections
- Perform build QC on all electrodes and cells
- Provide feedback on existing SOPs and assist in writing new SOPs
- Diagnose cell build issues and equipment failures
- Perform minor equipment repairs
Requirements For Engineering Technician, Cell Cathode Engineering
- Practical experience working in a laboratory setting
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with slurry mixing, coating, pressing, and cell assembly (desired)
- Familiar with building and testing Li-ion coin and pouch cells
- Knowledge of design of experiments is a plus
- Ability to lift 20-40 lbs
- Must be able to pass breathing test for respirator fitting
