Software Engineer II- Drive Thru

Toast is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their enterprise drive-thru team, focusing on building and maintaining Android applications that power their restaurant platform. This hybrid role, based in Costa Mesa, CA, requires 2 days in the office per week.

The position offers an opportunity to work on Toast's platform serving hundreds of multi-unit brands including Caribou Coffee, Choice Hotels, and WaBa Grill. As a mid-level engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing Android applications in Kotlin, leading complex projects, and contributing to the overall quality of the Android system.

The role requires 2+ years of Android development experience and strong proficiency in object-oriented programming with Java or Kotlin. You'll work with a modern tech stack including React, PostgreSQL, and various messaging systems like Apache Pulsar & RabbitMQ.
