Tonal, the pioneer in AI-powered home fitness technology, is seeking a Senior Integrations Developer to join their team in Toronto. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business technology, where you'll be responsible for designing and implementing crucial data integration solutions that power the company's innovative fitness platform.

The position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge fitness technology while building and maintaining data integration solutions that enable the business to extract maximum value from its data assets. You'll be working in a fast-paced startup environment where you'll have significant ownership and autonomy to make an impact, collaborating with data analysts, scientists, and various stakeholders to ensure data availability, accuracy, and security.

As a Senior Integrations Developer, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining data integration pipelines, ETL processes, and APIs, while ensuring robust error handling and quality assurance. The role requires a strong technical background with at least 3 years of experience in data engineering, combined with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities For Senior Integrations Developer

  • Design, build, and maintain data integration solutions
  • Create and maintain data integration pipelines, ETL processes, and APIs
  • Build error handling flows to report on issues and reprocess failed events
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, errors, and failures
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and security
  • Build out test cases to ensure integrations are working correctly

Requirements For Senior Integrations Developer

PostgreSQL
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL, and API development
  • Strong understanding of data integration tools, technologies, design patterns and techniques
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Airflow, Informatica, or MuleSoft
  • Strong SQL programming skills and experience with databases
  • Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience using CI/CD tools to manage end-to-end deployment lifecycle
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
