Description For REMOTE Fullstack Software Engineer (JavaScript/Python)

Trellis Law, the leading provider of state trial court data in the US, is seeking a Full-stack Software Engineer to join their growing team. Having recently secured $40M in Series B funding, they're expanding their capabilities in AI and Machine Learning to analyze millions of court documents. The role combines both backend and frontend development, working with Python/Django and Vue.js to build scalable solutions that handle large datasets.

As a Full-stack Engineer, you'll be an integral part of a collaborative team, working directly with Product and Design teams to develop user-facing products. The position offers the opportunity to work on transforming complex data sets into accessible products and analytics, requiring both backend expertise for data processing and frontend skills for user interface development.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of full-stack development experience, with strong Python skills and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks. Responsibilities For REMOTE Fullstack Software Engineer (JavaScript/Python)

  • Take ownership of Back-end to Front-end stack and develop products
  • Work with other Engineers on multiple projects and products
  • Work with existing large scale data sets to build backend services
  • Integrate services and data into Front-end frameworks and templates
  • Collaborate with data and other Back-end Engineers on large scale data projects
  • Collaborate with product and design to implement new features

Requirements For REMOTE Fullstack Software Engineer (JavaScript/Python)

  • At least 4 years of experience with full-stack development
  • Strong understanding of API architecture, JS/TS frameworks, and responsive template development
  • Detail-oriented and can translate product and design requirements into working applications
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent technical work experience
  • Python proficiency and working knowledge of a Python framework is required, Django experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with AWS, Linux, Celery, Redis, Elasticsearch is a plus
