Responsibilities For Senior GCP Cloud Engineer
- Engineer production-quality code during hybrid business hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST)
- Architect, design, and implement microservices using Spring Boot and Java in a GCP environment
- Develop RESTful APIs and ensure their scalability and performance
- Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage microservices
- Build and manage event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and Confluent Cloud
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Design and maintain high-performance, low-latency, and high-availability systems
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions
- Ensure security best practices implementation
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
Requirements For Senior GCP Cloud Engineer
- Extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other public cloud environments
- Strong background in microservices architecture and RESTful API development
- Proficiency in Java (with Spring Boot) and experience with Python and shell scripting
- Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with event-driven architecture and Apache Kafka
- Strong understanding of DevOps culture and CI/CD tools
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL database technologies
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
- Solid understanding of security principles and data encryption
