Trilogy Federal is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role combines software testing expertise with automation capabilities in a federal environment. The position requires an active ISTQB Agile Tester Certification and focuses on designing and executing automated test scripts within VA's Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP) Lean-Agile framework.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber), and CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of VA corporate IT systems, covering both legacy applications and DevSecOps initiatives.

Responsibilities For Test Automation Engineer

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for VA corporate IT systems
  • Implement test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber
  • Collaborate with Cloud Developers, Integration Leads, and Scrum Masters
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects

Requirements For Test Automation Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Agile Tester Certification required
  • 5+ years of experience in test automation, software quality assurance, or related role
  • Expertise in developing and executing automated tests in Agile settings
  • Experience with tools like Selenium, JUnit, or Cucumber and CI/CD integration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
