Internship - Embedded Software - New Cellular Connectivity Usage (M/F)

Withings is on a mission to be the trusted leader in clinical-grade smart health devices. We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Intern to join our embedded software team. The goal of the internship is to study new usage for the cellular connectivity integrated into some of our products. This project is at the heart of our product development and will involve close collaboration with our hardware and software engineering teams.

Key missions include:

1. Conception: gather the constraints and requirements for the new cellular connectivity usage and conceive an architecture that meets the requirements.
2. Feasibility study: conduct an analysis of the hardware constraints and power requirements to assess the feasibility of the new cellular usage.
3. Prototype: implement the new cellular usage on a real product to test the solution in conditions close to real life.

Requirements:

• Looking for an end of studies internship (Master's degree) from an Engineering school or equivalent
• Possess good knowledge in embedded software and microcontrollers
• Proficient in Python and C languages and associated tools (compiler, linker)
• Have knowledge in Git
• Familiarity with BLE protocol
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English

What you will learn:

• Work with the most recent IoT protocols: BLE and LTE-M
• Explore new usage of those protocols that could be deployed to thousands of products
