Description For DevRel engineer

Wordware is revolutionizing AI app development by making it as simple as writing a document. As a DevRel engineer, you'll be at the forefront of showing 500 million people how coding with plain English is the future.

The role combines technical expertise with communication skills, bridging the gap between traditional developers and the next wave of AI builders. You'll be creating compelling demos, shaping the explore page into a GitHub for AI, and producing educational content that makes complex concepts accessible.

The company is backed by major investors including Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator with a $30M seed round. Since launching in August, they've grown from 10k to over 300k users, with successful projects like twitter.wordware.ai reaching 6.5M users.

The work environment is fast-paced and startup-focused, with the team based in San Francisco. The office setup is unique - located 30m from the sea with a sauna, and the founders live in a big house where team activities like crossbow competitions happen on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building impactful demos and examples
  • Creating technical content and educational materials
  • Shaping and developing the explore page
  • Being a public face for Wordware
  • Bridging technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements:

  • Strong development background with teaching ability
  • Extensive experience with LLMs and AI
  • Understanding of RAG, agents, and prompt engineering
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Public speaking and on-camera presence
  • Community building and engagement skills
  • Commitment to an intense startup environment

The role demands someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle frequent context switching, and deeply understand the product. You'll be instrumental in showing the world how to build with AI using plain English, making complex technology accessible to lawyers, designers, product managers, and domain experts.
