Software Engineer, Match System, YouTube

As a Software Engineer in the Match System team at YouTube, you will:

• Work with the leads of the Match System Infrastructure to design and implement advancements of Match System technology.
• Launch new client use cases (e.g. detect reuse of audio across all videos on YouTube), new types of content (e.g. scan YouTube uploads to detect Artificial Intelligence generated music) or new algorithms (e.g. novel indexing algorithm).

You'll be working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, moving at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• Experience in software engineering and with programming language like C++.
• Experience with system design.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of the YouTube ecosystem.
• Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration.
