Specific Niches in software engineering

I am interested in both web and app development and have had a difficult time deciding between the two. Are one of these fields expected to have less job opportunities than the other in the near future with the advancement of AI technology?

This Taro question on the effect the recent breakthroughs in AI on Software Engineering, this other question on what skills to acquire are equally worthwhile to read, and this question addresses how to think about integrating AI into our workflows..
In short, I wouldn't be worried about it in the near future, from a job opportunity perspective. If you are good at your job, you are always going to have role somewhere. (Nevertheless AI and AI-based applications are an interesting field!)
