What are the key questions to ask and best practices to follow when presenting a service’s architecture and design to senior engineering leadership in a top-down review meeting? How can I effectively communicate strategic alignment and address potential concerns from engineering managers and senior staff?

    My general guidelines are:

    • Lead with high level summaries & try to use as concise wording as possible
    • Prioritize topics that the audience is most interest in

Since there's a lot of high-level employees in the meeting, you should ensure their time is used as effectively as possible. Their time is worth more, so optimizing for their time should be the priority.
