How hard is the E3 - E4 promotion?

I'm a new E3, and I know that there's the up-or-out promotion timeline to E4. I was wondering how much of a challenge this level-up generally is and what are the main things to keep in mind with this promo?

For E3 --> E4, focus on coding velocity and landing quality code without hand-holding. In terms of difficulty, empirically it's the easiest promotion at Meta, but that's simply because there are so many E3/E4 engineers. Don't rest on your laurels and make sure you're checking your coding productivity vs others in the team + org.
