There's so many teams to choose from - It can be overwhelming. However, in a company as large as Meta, I'm sure there's huge variance among teams. How can I find one that works for me, particularly when it comes to find E5 scope for promotion?

    • I personally liked WhatsApp and Instagram a lot. There were established products with good teams, but they weren't as fleshed out as Facebook app (aka "Big Blue") in particular. This made it easier to find scope as there were more unsolved problems. I definitely felt this going to IG Ads.
    • I've mainly heard that it can be hard to grow at Big Blue as everything is so optimized in core products, and the codebase is so gigantic and messy.
    • All that being said, there are exceptions to every rule, and I'm sure that you can find a good growth path in any part of Meta. The main thing to look for is a supportive team and manager.
