On the day of the interview, the SRE recruiter for Online-Notary informed me that the position had been filled after I waited 20 minutes for the interview.

Great work/life balance

Pros: Management is very flexible with respect to working remotely. Work/life balance is good, since we account for development, testing, and incident-handling in a biweekly planning meeting.
Cons: Getting to senior involves having visibility, like giving out talks or organizing general meetings, etc., sometimes without providing much value. I would prefer if technical expertise and consistent execution were rewarded instead.
