Description For Staff Data Analytics Engineer

10x Genomics is seeking a Staff Data Analytics Engineer to join their Manufacturing Systems Engineering (MSE) team in a role that bridges MSE and Production Engineering. This position focuses on developing robust data pipelines and advanced analytics solutions for the Operations team. The role combines technical expertise in data engineering with domain knowledge in life sciences manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in both science/engineering and data analytics, with expertise in ETL processes, data warehousing, and visualization tools. You'll work at the intersection of manufacturing, quality control, and data systems, developing solutions that drive operational efficiency and quality improvements.

Responsibilities For Staff Data Analytics Engineer

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and analytical needs
  • Implement and optimize ETL processes for quality-related data integration and analysis
  • Drive automation of data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes
  • Create and maintain frameworks, analysis tools and dashboards
  • Contribute to CAPA investigations and remediation
  • Provide data analysis support for the process development team
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of data engineering processes
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve data engineering processes

Requirements For Staff Data Analytics Engineer

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
  • BS with 10+ years of experience, or MS/PhD with 5-8 years of experience
  • Experience with ETL development and proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with data analytics and implementing data visualization
  • Understanding of manufacturing statistical process control and monitoring
