Business Intelligence Engineer, Japan Transportation Engineering & Analytics

Amazon Japan Transportation is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to build and operate data pipelines and applications crucial for business operations. As part of one of Japan's largest e-commerce operations, you'll work on creating and improving transportation-related data pipelines, marts, metrics, and dashboards. The role involves handling complex supply chain logistics data, implementing machine learning solutions, and optimizing business operations.

You'll be responsible for building and maintaining ETL pipelines, creating data marts, and developing dashboards used widely across business teams. The position requires implementing cost-improvement solutions and workload reduction processes using AWS and Amazon Internal Tools. You'll work with machine learning, combinatorial optimization, and probability statistics algorithms to solve complex business challenges.

Daily responsibilities include monitoring pipeline stability, managing resources, and automating infrastructure monitoring. You'll collaborate with other regions to implement successful solutions from other markets in Japan. The role also involves understanding and promoting AI/LLM usage within Amazon, providing training and sharing use cases as needed.
